Workshop Description
This fiction craft intensive is all about the mechanics of plot, which is how you drive a story forward and keep your readers engaged. Whether you’re working on fiction or non-fiction, you’ll be guided through popular conceptions of plot in literary pedagogy and criticism and how to think about components such as causality, escalation, and rate of revelation. You’ll learn that even plotless and plot-fluid books use these principles, which you’ll be able to apply no matter where your work falls on the spectrum. This class is beginner-friendly, and open to all levels!
